Carp fishermen are funny fuckers with their remote control bait boats and articulated wheelbarrows.
Summer tench float fishing 4 or 5 lbs bs line sweetcorn maggot cocktail keep it out the lilies is way more fun in my opinion.

yeah agreed on those spombs, i use one, much prefer em to the spod...dont lose any bait on the way out there. Team spomb use to have a coupe teams in the BCAC...fished it a few time myself, but gave up two years ago. not sponsored so too much money...200 quid a man entry now plus your bait for 48 hrs...sod that

Good luck to the fella. Reminds me of the bloke who invented spombs taking it to Danny fairbrass who said nah it will never catch on, not interested...
The carp fishing world is full of total mugs eager to be parted with their hard earned, lots of ££ to be made.

i met the fella who designed and patented that air inflated bivvy at a syndicate i was on last year. Got em made in China. Bloody simple yet clever idea. He had a mate that imported tents into the UK, and he noticed that some of the tents he was selling had the air inflatable tubes. He mentioned to him about moving into the fishing industry, they did a prototype last year and got it to the carp show in Brentwood. I vaguely remember he said he showed it to Lee Jackson at the Tackle Box and they immediately increased the size of their pitch at the carp show to promote it. Looks set to do well. Good on em.

If I handed you a rod with an angry 20lb carp attached claret you'd understand.
It's a great buzz - bloke over my lake is a former marine, done several tours of afghan, still admits to shaking with adrenaline when he's got a big fish on

Re: Trakker colossus bivvy wanted

I'm not knocking because it's every man to their own but i've never seen the point of fishing.
I believe the vast majority don't eat what they have caught and anyway it's a lot easier to go to supermarket.
It's got to be pretty random to what fish gets on your line i presume as well?
Lastly and maybe most importantly i don't see fishing as a great tactical sport, a fish i think has a memory measured in seconds, therefore surely it can't be hard to outwit one?
So what is the fascination please?
